Our Church Covenant
A sacred commitment to follow Christ, walk in brotherly love, and serve our community and the world with the grace and truth of the Gospel.
Having been inspired through the grace of God to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and believing that we should obey His commands in response to His love toward us, we do now, in the presence of God solemnly covenant with each other;
We will walk together in brotherly love.
(1 Peter 2:17)
We will care for and encourage each other, and participate in each other’s joys and with sympathy bear each others burdens and sorrows.
(Romans 12:15-16)
Using the Word of God as our guide, we will teach, counsel, and disciple each other.
(Matthew 18:15-17)
We will cheerfully give toward the financial needs of our church in order to spread the Good News of the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
(Matthew 6:19-21, Luke 6:38)
We will joyfully gather together for worship together on the Sabbath.
(Exodus 20:8, Romans 12:1)
As God gives us the strength, we will always seek to live our lives as a positive example and witness to others.
(Colossians 3:12-14, Romans 12:2)
Statement of Beliefs
1. God
We believe in one God, holy, infinite, and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
2. Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
(John 1:1, 14; Luke 1:34-35; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11)
3. The Holy Spirit
We believe in the deity and personality of the Holy Spirit, His work in regeneration and sanctification, and His indwelling of the believer to empower for life and service.
(John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22-23)
4. The Bible
We believe that the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
5. Humanity and Sin
We believe that humanity was created in the image of God but fell through disobedience, resulting in spiritual death and a nature inclined toward sin from which only God's grace can deliver.
(Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23; 5:12)
6. Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, whose death on the cross was a perfect and sufficient sacrifice for the sins of the whole world.
(Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16; 1 John 2:2)
7. The Sabbath
We believe that the seventh day of the week, from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday, is the holy Sabbath of the Lord our God, a day for worship, rest, and service in honor of our Creator and Redeemer.
(Genesis 2:2-3; Exodus 20:8-11; Mark 2:27-28; Luke 4:16)
8. Baptism
We believe in baptism by immersion for believers as a public witness to their faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior and their commitment to walk in newness of life.
(Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3-4; Acts 2:38)
9. The Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, a spiritual community of believers called to worship God, love one another, and witness to the Gospel across the world.
(Ephesians 1:22-23; 4:11-16; Matthew 28:18-20)
10. Last Things
We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, and the eternal state of the blessed and the lost.
(1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:11-15; 21:1-4)
